What Is Morpheus8™?
Morpheus8™ is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy to offer the most significant improvement with the least downtime. It provides precise and targeted treatment, penetrating deep into the tissues to promote collagen production and rejuvenate the skin with the most significant improvement and least downtime. Morpheus8™ is a fractional resurfacing tool that utilizes the body’s natural processes to improve the skin on your face. It addresses the underlying causes behind aging and skin issues, providing more lasting results by stimulating the body to repair itself naturally.
Morpheus8™ for the face is an attractive option for patients who wish to rejuvenate their skin but do not want to undergo surgery or an ablative laser procedure.

What Are the Benefits of Morpheus8™ Face?
One of the advantages of Morpheus8™ facial treatment is that it has “color blind” technology, making it safe for all skin types and nearly eliminating the risk of post-treatment hyperpigmentation. The advanced technology of Morpheus8™ effectively:
- Smooths fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck
- Tightens the skin
- Reduces jowls and subdermal fat
- Addresses the loss of facial volume
- Reduces the appearance of acne scars
- Improves skin texture and tone
- Reverse the effects of sun damage
Morpheus8™ Face can also be combined with other medical or surgical procedures, including liposuction of the neck, or at the same time as a facelift, as well as during injections of fillers, PRP plasma, or botulinum neurotoxin.
How Is Morpheus8™ Face Performed?
It’s possible to fit the procedure into a long lunch on a weekday. A Morpheus8™ facial treatment is performed as an outpatient procedure and typically takes less than an hour. Once you’re comfortable in the therapy room, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area(s) of the face targeted for treatment to ensure your comfort.
The Morpheus8™ face microneedles are grouped in a single-use tip in 12 or 24 elements, which travel 0.5 mm to 4 mm deep. Your practitioner will select which tips to use, at what depth, and the amount of RF energy required. The Morpheus8™device is then used to administer radiofrequency energy through the microneedles, warming the deeper layers of your skin during the procedure. This highly controlled application of heat energy prompts the skin to produce more collagen and elastin while providing traditional microneedling benefits.
The heat from the RF energy targets one or more levels of your skin in a rapid sequence, leaving you with better results in a shorter time than other microneedling treatments. Because it works at varying levels under the skin, we can create a personalized treatment plan to address your specific needs and desired results.
Are There Risks and Complications With Morpheus8™ Face?
Morpheus8™ facial treatments are considered safe and have a low risk of complications. Before your Morpheus8™ face procedure, we apply an analgesic cream to your face to make the treatment more comfortable. Each patient is different, and some may be more sensitive than others but most easily tolerate any minor discomfort that may occur. Common side effects include minor swelling, bruising, and redness, but these are normal occurrences that will resolve within a few days.

Is There Downtime After a Morpheus8™ Facial Treatment?
There is no downtime after your Morpheus8™ face treatment, and you can immediately return to your regular activities. You may experience minimal swelling and bruising, but these are normal and will fade quickly. Your face may be slightly red and feel tight for up to a week after your Morpheus8™ face procedure, depending on the intensity of your treatment.
Keep the treatment area moisturized and, most importantly, avoid sun exposure. To maximize and extend your results, we recommend daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
When Will I See My Morpheus8™ Results?
You will be able to see some visible results of your Morpheus8™ facial treatment within a few days, but because your results rely on your body’s natural processes, it takes around three months to see the most noticeable results. As your skin continues to heal deep under the surface, you will likely see improvements.
