This energy will heat the fat, or adipose tissue, causing it to become damaged and break apart. During the following months, your body will naturally remove these cells. This system uses four applicators through which the energy can travel, while the applicators keep the skin cool. What to Expect During Treatment
To ensure that SculpSure is the right treatment for you, you will undergo a consultation with Dr. Berbari or a member of her medical staff. During your consultation, you will discuss about your expectations, medical history, and any questions or concerns you may have. Based on your discussion and her evaluation, we will help you determine if this or another body contouring procedure is the best solution. A member of our team place the laser applicators into special a frame that holds them in a targeted formation. These procedures will typically be completed with four applicators.
For 25-30 minutes, the light-based technology system will apply both cooling and heat. Cooling is administered to the skin throughout the entire treatment to ensure that there is no damage and it does not get too hot for comfort. The laser rays will penetrate deep into the tissue, through the skin to heat the fat underneath. A deep warmth or tingling sensation can be expected periodically throughout the course of your procedure. Most patients require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results. Once complete, you will be able to leave and go about your day without any downtime or recovery.
Results
You can typically see results within six weeks to three months following treatment. During this time, the affected fat cells will be processed and eliminated from the body. Any fat cells destroyed during your treatment will not regenerate. Depending on your expectations, you may choose to undergo more than one procedure to terminate more fat cells. Some patients who are seeking less extensive results can achieve their goals after a single treatment. However, for more dramatic results, you can undergo multiple treatments.
